Psoriasis Patient Stories
It is estimated that over 73,000 people in Ireland suffer from psoriasis1. Psoriasis is most
commonly characterised by the appearance of red, scaly plaques on the skin. However,
psoriasis is not only a skin condition, it is associated with depression, stigmatism,
unemployment and reduced quality of life1.
Novartis held a two day patient discussion session for individuals with psoriasis in May.
These individuals’ stories have been captured and brought to life with a series of
illustrations, showing the impact the condition has on the lives of those who suffer with it. A
selection of these illustrations is shown below. We hope they provide a deeper insight into what
daily life is like for those with psoriasis.
