Heart failure explained at Sligo information event

The team behind the Heart Failure Service at Sligo General Hospital in association with The Irish Heart Foundation and Novartis held a public information evening on 20th November in the Sligo Park Hotel. Over 250 patients, carers and family members who are directly and indirectly affected by heart failure were in attendance.
Several speakers covered subjects relating to heart failure including the medicines and procedures used to treat it, the underlying causes of it and the need for lifestyle adjustment in order to live well.
