Title: Treatment Landscape for Early MF Patients (Professory Ciro Rinaldi)
Professor Ciro Rinaldi trained in Italy at University Federico II Naples, where he gained his MD, followed by Haematology specialist training and a PhD in Biotechnology. During his PhD, he moved to Chicago where he worked in Giuseppina Nucifora’s Lab at University of Illinois (UIC), and he published several articles on alternative pathways in MPN and MDS. He is Consultant Haematologist at United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust specialised in MPN, MDS, Myeloma and Lymphoma and he is also Clinical Director for Clinical Support Services and Deputy Director Clinical Research Facilities.
Visiting Professor in Biomedical Science, he leads the MPN/MDS molecular biology lab at the University of Lincoln where his main research interests are in Philadelphia-negative MPN and abnormal pathways in MDS.
In 2014 he became the Haematology Expert Clinical Advisory Group (ECAG) Lead for the East Midlands.

Title: Management of Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (Professor Mary Frances McMullin)
Professor Mary Frances McMullin is an expert in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPN's). She is professor of clinical haematology at Queens University, Belfast and consultant haematologist at Belfast City Hospital. Her research interests include the investigation of the causes of erythrocytosis and pathogenesis of polycythaemia vera and myeloid leukaemia. She has over 200 publications and was chair of the British Committee for Standards in Haematology and president of the Haematology Association of Ireland.

Title: The role of the MPN nurse specialist at Guys and St Thomas’ NHS foundation trust (Yvonne Francis)
Yvonne Francis, Clinical Nurse Specialist (Guys and St Thomas Trust) Yvonne started work as a junior nurse in the haematology team at Guys and St Thomas’ in 2000. She became sister of the day unit at St Thomas’ before taking on her current role in 2007. Yvonne works closely with Dr Harrison and Dr Radia reviewing and managing patients with myeloproliferative disorders and provides all patients starting treatment with oral and written information and monitoring. She runs a nurse led venesection clinic for patients with secondary erythrocytosis, haemochromatosis and other conditions requiring venesections and aims to start a telephone monitoring clinic for stable patients in the near future.

Title: Management of polycythemia vera and myelofibrosis (Dr Francesco Passamonti)
Dr. Francesco Passamonti is a respected hematologist at Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi in Varese, Italy and has been involved in extensive research on myeloproliferative conditions. Francesco Passamonti is principal investigator in many clinical trials on hematological malignancies including, polucythemia vera, leukemias and lymphomas. He has published widely in the area of MPNs.
